with the purpose
of combating corruption in Nepal, aims to implement
anti-corruption activities, to ensure that government
bodies become aware, more accessible and responsive
to the general people and the civil society. Hence,
the CSACP focuses towards achieving the goal of
"Improved contribution by Civil Society"
with the support of Commission for the Investigation
of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Good Governance Clubs
(GGCs), His Majesty Government Offices, Non-Government
Organizations and the media, and this will help
strengthen networking and sensitizing mechanism.
Such system will help maintain decency and integrity
of the government officials in promoting anti-corruption
policies and laws.
The project supports this endeavor by providing
opportunities to civil society for organizing and
influencing state policy practices, so that basic
service provisions to the people become more effective
and efficient. Same like, service providers in future
are encouraged to be accountable, transparent and
credible. Hence, the project aspires to make government
bodies more aware of their duties and responsibilities
by lobbying and advocating against corruption through
mobilizing civil society. Most importantly, this
project aims at developing "zero tolerance"
in civil society against corruption and other social
absurdities. CSACP at the same time hopes to promote
the culture of asking prickly questions by developing
"Why Culture" or the culture of raising
queries against irregularity in any form. "Why
Culture", the first of its kind in the country
has to some extent developed the culture among the
public to grill the authorities for irregularities
and other sorts of anomalies.
